Originally from Danville, Virginia, Thomas Leggett moved to Richmond in 2002 after graduating from college and immediately fell in love with the food and beverage scene. Leggett found his voice as a bartender at Six Burner in Richmond, and has established The Roosevelt as having the city's most lauded cocktail program. The Roosevelt was awarded Elby's in 2013 and 2017 as the Richmond,  “Cocktail Program of the Year”. In addition, The Roosevelt was named one of the best bars in America in 2014 by Esquire magazine and most recently named in the top ten best bars in the south by Southern Living.
