His writings have appeared in several other publications, including Wine Enthusiast magazine and the San Francisco Chronicle, as well as his award-winning blog, Dave McIntyre’s WineLine, created in 1999. Meininger’s Wine Business International and Worth magazines named him among the most influential wine writers in the United States. He was a co-founder of Drink Local Wine, the first “locapour” movement promoting the growth of regional wine throughout the United States. He is also a Certified Sommelier by the Court of Master Sommeliers.
